It’s hard for us to keep a secret…but we’re ready to spread the news that we’ve been working on for the past few months!
We are thrilled to announce that starting with Season 2 of Growing Bolder, we will be joined by Wendy Chioji, a longtime friend who just happens to be a respected journalist, cancer survivor, competitive athlete and all-around rockstar!
Some of you got a sneak peek when we posted this on our Facebook page:
We took that photo during a whirlwind studio session with Marc, Bill and Wendy. Picture the three of them, plus lights, camera, teleprompter, producer and videographer — all crammed into a small space! Luckily, Wendy will be doing quite a bit of her work out in the field, bringing us stories of athletes, musicians, business leaders and more.
More of you may have seen the story posted by The Orlando Sentinel:
So who is Wendy?

- Among her work: coverage of the pope’s visit to Cuba in 1998, the Olympic Winter Games in 2002, the 2003 Columbia disaster, the 2004 hurricanes.
- Won an Emmy award as part of a team that put together a special report titled “A Heroin Emergency.”
- Fitness Coach
- Cancer Survivor and Advocate
- Diagnosed and treated for Stage II breast cancer in 2001 — Wendy now works with several organizations that help raise money and awareness for cancer treatment, including Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong.
