It’s hard for us to keep a secret…but we’re ready to spread the news that we’ve been working on for the past few months!
We are thrilled to announce that starting with Season 2 of Growing Bolder, we will be joined by Wendy Chioji, a longtime friend who just happens to be a respected journalist, cancer survivor, competitive athlete and all-around rockstar!
Some of you got a sneak peek when we posted this on our Facebook page:

We took that photo during a whirlwind studio session with Marc, Bill and Wendy. Picture the three of them, plus lights, camera, teleprompter, producer and videographer — all crammed into a small space! Luckily, Wendy will be doing quite a bit of her work out in the field, bringing us stories of athletes, musicians, business leaders and more.

So who is Wendy?

- Among her work: coverage of the pope’s visit to Cuba in 1998, the Olympic Winter Games in 2002, the 2003 Columbia disaster, the 2004 hurricanes.
- Won an Emmy award as part of a team that put together a special report titled “A Heroin Emergency.”
- Adventurer
- Fitness Coach
- Cancer Survivor and Advocate
- Diagnosed and treated for Stage II breast cancer in 2001 — Wendy now works with several organizations that help raise money and awareness for cancer treatment, including Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong.
- Philanthropist
And above all, she’s truly Growing Bolder. We hope you’re welcome Wendy to the team — you can see her reports beginning in April 2011 on public television stations nationwide!
