I Love Juicy

It was inevitable. I surround myself all day with inspiring people at GrowingBolder.com, listen to motivational interviews from Growing Bolder Radio and produce stories for Growing Bolder TV all day.

So, obviously, I had to buy a juicer.

That may seem like quite a leap, but I promise, if you play “Six Degrees of Growing Bolder,” it makes sense.

Life at UCF: A Bold Bunch

Marc and Bill are known all over the country thanks to Growing Bolder TV and Growing Bolder Radio. And we absolutely love hearing from all of you that Growing Bolder has changed your life, or made you think about what aging means to you, or has inspired you to make a difference.

We always say that we’re not doing any of this for the glory, the recognition or the kind words. We’re doing it because we’re passionate and motivated by the ordinary people doing extraordinary things in every city of America. And we love shining the spotlight on others.

That’s why we really enjoyed speaking with a packed room of people at a recent Life at UCF meeting, on the campus of the nation’s second-largest university.

Rowdy also holds a world record with his Team Blu Frog teammates, including Growing Bolder CEO/Founder Marc Middleton, Keith Switzer and Scot Weiss, who we featured in the episode Never Give Up.

We’re Better When We TRI Together

Just two sassy ladies…posing for a photo.

Wait a minute — just nothing! Two fabulous friends who just experienced the thrill of a lifetime together. That’s a much more accurate description!

Elizabeth St. Hilaire Nelson (“Composing a Life of Exquisite Harmony“) and I may be smiling in that picture, but underneath the grins, we’re sweaty, a little bruised and ready for a long nap. [Read more...]

Bull Bloopers

You know the old saying about never performing with animals or kids?

Well, we are willing to break rules when it comes to producing and sharing great stories, so we took on the challenge — not only climbing on the back of a bull but also running from an angry goose and his very small but mighty bodyguard.

Confused? Let’s back up a bit. [Read more...]

In addition, the program will include new product offers, an all-new Media/Press kit for programmers to use in viewer outreach and an elegant and easy-to-use website for complete episodes, Web exclusives, producer blogs and more: http://GrowingBolderTV.com. And all new theme music for Season 2, provided by Growing Bolder supporter, friend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Roger McGuinn, best known as a founding member of the Byrds.

Life Lessons From Coach Bill Shafer

We read the stories in the newspaper and see them on TV — a youth sports coach loses control and strikes a player, shoves an official or erupts in a profanity-laced tirade. Fortunately, most coaches are good-natured volunteers who just want to give back. The best are great role models intent on making a real difference — not just in a game but in a life.

We’re lucky enough to have such a person on our own team. Growing Bolder host Bill Shafer spends his days guiding the GB team and his nights and weekends molding lives on his son’s youth hockey team. We followed Coach Bill and his team as they battled for a spot in their league’s championship and discovered what they learned off the ice may be more important than any final score at the rink.

One-on-One With Host Marc Middleton

What is Growing Bolder? And why is what we do so important? Growing Bolder CEO Marc Middleton opens up about the power of believing that it’s never too late to smash some stereotypes and kick a little butt.
