The Future of GB: Strong and Sustainable

Growing Bolder Hosts and Contributors

We’ve had several Growing Bolder viewers contact us, worried about the future of our show in the aftermath of WMFE in Orlando announcing that it is selling its TV station to concentrate on radio. WMFE has been the presenting station for our television show (Growing Bolder) so we understand and appreciate the concern.

However, WMFE’s announcement will have little impact on our show. Our company, Bolder Broadcasting, Inc, produces our television show in its entirety. We have never used WMFE facilities, funds, equipment or personnel to produce our show. American Public Television will continue to distribute Growing Bolder to a growing roster of public stations nationwide and Central Florida viewers will not miss a single episode. We are currently seen in Central Florida on both WMFE and WDSC. WMFE will air Season 2 of Growing Bolder in its entirety and WDSC will air Season 2 and beyond. We are also reaching out to WBCC in Cocoa to provide another viewing option for Central Florida viewers.

The only change for us is that we will have a new presenting station for Season 3 and beyond. We are excited about the possibility of partnering with one of several interested stations.

Fans of the Growing Bolder Radio Show can continue to listen on WMFE-FM, 90.7. We have been assured by WMFE that we are an important part of their lineup and will remain on their broadcast schedule. In addition, the radio program will be nationally distributed to all NPR and public radio affiliates in the spring of 2011.

Again, we appreciate your concern and interest in Growing Bolder. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
