Produced and delivered in stunning high-definition, GROWING BOLDER is hosted by award-winning journalists Marc Middleton and Bill Shafer.
Middleton, President and CEO of Bolder Media Group, says,
“We believe that this show is a reflection of what’s happening in the world – these days, you don’t have to stop living at any age. You can start a new career, overcome illness and disease, pursue a fitness goal and smash all the existing stereotypes of age. Producing the show is easy, because we’re just telling the stories of thousands of men and women who are Growing Bolder.”
Shafer says the staff of GROWING BOLDER not only preaches the mission — they practice it!
“We knew that to truly get to the core of Growing Bolder, and to help set up a playbook for others to follow, we had to be willing totake chances ourselves,” says Shafer.
“Growing Bolder is about pursuing your passion”
The stories in that playbook feature everyday people as well as celebrities, including Olympians Rowdy Gaines, Dara Torres and Hunter Kemper, music legend Roger McGuinn, artists Harold Garde and Harold Rotenberg, actors, politicians and many more.
“We’re privileged and proud to be taking our experience and expertise in good old-fashioned storytelling and combining it with the best of new media. Our goal is to produce a show that’s fun to watch – one you want to tell your friends and family about,” says Executive Producer Katy Widrick.
In addition to the online library of episodes, The Growing Bolder TV Show has an active fan page on Facebook, which allows fans to not only post feedback and ask questions, but share the episodes with friends and family across various social networks. In addition, the Growing Bolder staff uses Twitter and the latest communications platforms to engage fans, find new viewers and spread the message that aging isn’t what it used to be.
